Lifeline Northern Beaches (LLNB) has been serving Sydney’s Northern Beaches area for over 50 years. We are a registered charity, run by a small team of salaried staff and supported by around 650 local volunteers. We work to relieve distress and suffering in the community caused by crisis situations.
LLNB provides 24/7 telephone crisis support, suicide prevention services and counselling to people of all ages and from all backgrounds. Last year we answered more than 30,000 calls and performed more than 5,000 occasions of associated services. Unfortunately demand is only increasing.
LLNB also operates 7 retail shops to raise funds to deliver its programs. This represents around 60% of operational costs. The balance of funds is sourced through corporate support and sponsorship, private and philanthropic donations and community support.
